Genealogist and historical researcher

Hi, I’m Alicia. I have been researching my genealogy for over a decade, as well as numerous friends and colleagues’ families. My love of history comes from my dad. When I was young he always read us books about history, ghosts, aliens, nature, and other fun topics. Also, thanks to a few wonderful teachers in high school, and an amazing professor in university, my obsession with historical research exploded!

I am currently writing two books. One I have been working on for eight years. It is based on my Masters thesis documentation and research on the Royal African Company at James Fort on the Gambia River, in the 1700s. My COVID-era research (what I’ve been doing during lockdown) is a historical account of small town murders in Ontario, Canada. They are currently in the editing phase, and writing phase, so if you know any publishing agents, let me know.

I love finding tidbits of information for people about their families. It’s even more exciting when I can send them a document or photograph! I nerd out over these finds, like my own little digital treasure hunt. If you want me to help you on your own family tree search, I would love to talk to you about it. I will NEVER sell your information to anyone else. I am entrusted with your living and dead family members’ information, and I will only share my findings with you.
